Preparing for your session
Although most sessions last an hour, they can last up to two hours and sometimes more.
Outdoors, we are at the mercy of the weather and little kids. Shady areas are better than sunny ones for the best portrait results. We are prepared to take our time and you should be also. A calm atmosphere produces better results.
If we are doing a mobile studio session, please keep all children and animals away from the lights and backdrops. We will need roughly a half hour to set up our mobile studio. To avoid dirty outfits and impatience, children do not need to be ready until we are ready.
Please let us know what you want out of your session. Be realistic. Don't expect too much from your children or animals. They tend to have a very different idea of how long a session should last.
For sessions that include babies, plan for one outfit change, more than that is possible, but do not expect it. Babies should be fed just before sessions. We want them to start out calm and happy.
